August, 2008. It has been quite a summer... the Modern Woman series has really caught some attention and has led me to a new series of nudes and abstracts. I have been mainly focused on the use of metallic paint and how I can change the composition and effect of a piece with just a shift in lighting.
Look for "Nude" in the upcoming issue of Art of the 4 Corners with the rest of us at Carla Wright Gallery.
"Beautiful People" was just published in Southwest Art, September 2008 issue.
I have also started attending a life drawing group, compliments of Tom Ware (sculptor) and have added some new pieces from that. I am really enjoying the dynamic and interaction with the other artists.. a welcome shift for me :)
